Enough About the Bad Guys, Who Are Some Good Guys?

Note the humble man in the back of the room studying his notes (Ron Paul)

It does seem that these days we are bombarded with all kinds of fear, hate and the like from all those in and around our government.

Throughout this time there have been some that have stood up for truth in our empire of lies.

Tom Woods shares his take which I find extremely accurate:

By my estimation, the best U.S. senator — by far — throughout this fiasco has been Rand Paul, and the best member of the House has been Rep. Thomas Massie.

Both have been excellent on lockdowns, masks, vaccines and vaccine passports. Both have pushed back against Fauci. Were it not for Rand, we probably wouldn’t know a thing about gain-of-function research and Wuhan.

Ain’t no way a product of the GOP establishment was going to come out swinging like Rand.

Mitt Romney standing up to Fauci? Don’t make me laugh.

John McCain standing up to Fauci? This is the guy who assured us he was learning about economics because he bought Alan Greenspan’s book — an indication of utter hopelessness if ever there were one.

Most Republican governors were horrendous through this ordeal.

But Rand Paul and Thomas Massie? A+ throughout.

Yup .. just two guys influencing public opinion and government a little at a time. Quite the up-hill battle.

Rand Paul challenges Tony Fauci with the truth ..
Thomas Massie listening to Tony Fauci’s lies

Tom goes on to identify the source of their inspiration:

The key: both are products of the Ron Paul revolution.

Now let’s recall: when Ron Paul himself was running for president, both the media and the Republican establishment — and, to their eternal shame, some “conservatives” — ridiculed him. He’s a “crank”! We demand someone who will flatter us and speak in platitudes we recognize!

It was embarrassing.

Here was the man who, on the House floor in 2001, predicted exactly what would happen with the housing boom and bust. He said the Federal Reserve was replacing the dot-com boom with a real estate boom, which would surely unravel.

He knew Fannie and Freddie’s days were numbered.

Not one other person running for president in 2008 or 2012 had had the first clue about any of this.

And of course he was right: when the market tried to send people red lights in 2000 and 2001, the Fed turned them all green. So people persisted in the same bad investments, making the eventual crash all the worse, and perpetuating the myths that “housing prices never fall” and “a house is the best investment you can make.” (The 2001 recession is the only one on record in which housing starts actually increased.)

Dr. Paul was withering on the U.S. warfare state, and this of course turned “conservatives” against him. The idea was: we favor limited government, but exporting feminism to Afghanistan and running a world empire? Sign us up!

Not exactly the conservatism of yesteryear, that.

Now, after COVID, perhaps some conservatives are willing to entertain the idea that the whole regime is dangerous and rotten and run by liars, and that that just might also include the people who run the foreign policy.

Incidentally, has anybody been checking in on where Rick Santorum stands on lockdowns? Or the utterly forgettable Tim Pawlenty, whom Sean Hannity promoted? Or any of the other empty suits?

Ron created something lasting. Unlike the suits, he took on rather than aped the establishment. He raised issues like the Federal Reserve that no focus group told him to mention, simply because he considered it urgent for the American public to know about them.

Ron Paul weathered Washington DC and the swamp for many years, but always brought his humble attitude with his truth-bombs with him everywhere he went .. EVEN if what he said would lose him votes!

He told a Florida audience that free trade with Cuba was the morally correct position, even though he knew that meant a lot of people would never consider voting for him.

Who else does that?

Who else just honestly tells us his views, and is consistent in those views over a 40-year period?

Great questions. The list of people is very short in this country and this society. I remember Ron being laughed at when he suggested that merely legalizing heroin would NOT suddenly cause a lot of people to “do heroin”. Truth can’t be tolerated when certain narratives are involved sadly.

I also remember Ron saying that we should treat other nations like Jesus’ Golden Rule suggested for individuals. The GOP gathering did a big LOL .. they could not comprehend treating China and Russia and especially Cuba with respect. These days both GOP and Democrats think economic sanctions (similar to what drew Japan into WWII) are a solution. Only to the elite from their safe offices in DC can they pretend that no one is hurt by a foreign policy like this.

Here is a glimpse into what life was like in 2012 when American’s had a chance to do better ..

I was gifted (thank you Captain1776) into being able to meet Ron Paul in person in 2019 at a conference near Dulles International in northern Virginia, and I can tell you he is the genuine thing, a man who is the same in public as he is in private.

A real gentleman who can speak truth to power, whether it be US Empire foreign policy or Covid-19 response.

We need more truth-tellers .. are you up to the challenge?

When Government Loses Its Authority

Reflecting on Father’s Day, tell me, when does a father lose the title and authority that of being a “father”? It is when his words and actions are destructive of the family itself. When a father abuses a family physically or emotionally whether in presence or absence or even engages in behavior that then erodes the very protection and sustenance that he is to bring to this group under his care and love, he ceases to be a father.

So too with government. Many Christians over the years have pointed to Romans 13:1,2 as proof that we are to obey government all the time period.

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.  Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

Nothing could be further from the truth. When government turns its words and actions towards actually destroying “we the people”, it is no longer worthy of being supported. Many of the founders in the 1700s say this in relationship to the British Empire, just like the Apostle Paul say this in relation to the Roman Empire. The very man who penned the words of Romans 13 to the Roman Christians of the day was the most jailed apostle of the New Testament!

Reflecting on history, one must come to grip with the fact that it is the GOVERNMENT enterprise that destroys the good people in society. Time and again the joint effort of bad government and bad religion have teamed up to persecute good people and especially people who chose to follow Jesus as well as executing Jesus Himself.

Here is one of the most honest sermons I have seen for some time, the BENEFIT of having been brought through the season of government’s wrath toward the people and the church in the last 15 months. This from Grace Community Church in California, John MacArthur is the speaker/pastor:

(coming soon is the transcript which will be a priceless reference for the days and months to come https://www.gty.org/library/sermons-library/81-117 )

The very type of father or type of government that is to be honored is that described in the verses in Romans 13 AFTER verses 1 & 2 quoted above:

For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

Think about especially the nine months of 2020 and the six months so far in 2021. House arrest, masking of the healthy and forced injections with threats of job loss is hardly a good government that sees God’s and Nature’s ways and laws as a primary reference point. The fear in most of the people’s eyes the last 15 months is obvious, but the agenda government has with this fear needs to be revealed.

Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Good fathers and good government deserve respect and honor, HOWEVER, abusers and promoters of evil are never to be given that place. They have lost their God-given position based on their words, actions and bad character. Human authority is never permanent.

To unpack the fact on how evil government COULD be resisted out of the LOVE for others has many, many historical examples that our governments today would like us to forget.

Government will always push the people on THEIR OWN role as them being the “helper” … however:

Necessity (i.e., ‘public health, common good’, etc.) is the plea of every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves. – William Pitt

.. this in spite of their true hidden evil agenda.

What could be the antidote for this scourge that seems to envelope so many nations at this time around the globe?

Our age is one of ecclesiastical pacifism. …When a church ceases to be militant it also ceases to be a church of Jesus Christ. …A truly militant church stands opposed to the world both without its walls and within.  …Time and again in its history the church has found it necessary to assert its sovereignty over against usurpations by the state. R.B. Kuiper

One has to remember that this was written OVER 50 years ago in 1967 the year after the author’s death. Here is another more lengthy quote:

Ours is an age of state totalitarianism.  All over the world statism is [rising]….  In consequence, in many lands the church finds itself utterly at the mercy of the state whose mercy often proves cruelty, while in others the notion is rapidly gaining ground that the church exists and operates by the state’s permission.

Now, if ever, is the time for the church to assert its sovereignty over against encroachments by the state.  The church is in sacred duty bound to rise up in majesty and proclaim to the world that it enjoys freedom of worship, not by the grace of the state, but as a God-given right; and that it preaches the Word of God, not by the grace of human governments, but solely at the command of the sovereign God and its sovereign King, seated at God’s right hand.

…It must be admitted to the church’s shame that it has often cowered before the state. …those power-hungry potentates who neither fear God nor regard man but take counsel together against the Lord and His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us’ (Ps. 2), must be told by the church that He that sits in the heavens will laugh, that the Lord will have them in derision, and that if they fail to kiss the Son, He will break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.  Let the church speak sovereignly for the sovereign God and the ‘blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords’ (1 Tim. 6:15).

Ultimately, you can see how government always sees the church as competition and a threat .. and here is where G.K. Chesterton summarizes things rather succinctly:

It is only by believing in God that we can ever criticize the government. Once abolish God, and the government becomes the God.… Wherever the people do not believe in something beyond the world, they will worship the world. But, above all, they will worship the strongest thing in the world.

This therefore is the goal of government. To become a god to the people.

Know your enemy. Know the enemy of families, the enemy of faith and the enemy of “we the people”. It is essential in the days, weeks and years to come for us and our kids and their kids.

Stay strong and stay the course!

If You Are Thinking the GOP Will Deliver You to Freedom – Think Again!

GOP leadership in Michigan has said for months “our hands are tied” regarding the governor’s executive orders that drove the Michigan economy into the ground, placed people in house arrest and placed Covid-19 positive patients in nursing homes causing economic, emotional and physical death to reign in all directions since March 2020.

Well, all it takes is for the Democratic governor to have a slight 4-3 Michigan Supreme Court setback for the GOP to reward and encourage the people with the hope of freedom they have so missed in the days and weeks to come … BUT NO!

The GOP in Michigan is not about to “grant” the people freedoms, they were only upset that the Democratic governor was getting all the  credit for the epic tyranny to descend on the physically beautiful state of Michigan which is now being turned into an economic dumpster fire that will require tons of assistance from a bankrupt federal government, further enslaving the people of Michigan not only to the local tyranny from state and local leaders (not to mention big businesses that have joined in this action, looking right at you Menards), but also federal tyranny for years and decades to come.

Becky Akers, a Michigan resident and frequent writer provides this from Lew Rockwell’s LRC Blog:

In a landmark ruling with far-reaching implications, the Michigan Supreme Court decided Friday that [Democratic] Gov. Gretchen Whitmer violated her constitutional authority by continuing to issue orders to combat COVID-19 without the approval of state lawmakers.

Sounds promising, right?

Ah, but listen to those “state lawmakers,” particularly the Rethuglican ones. They prattle like power-hungry despots grasping after the authority ol’ Gretch stole from them:

“The governor had no right to extend the state of emergency over the Legislature’s objection. Our constitution matters, and this was a big win for our democratic process,” [House Speaker Lee] Chatfield [R-Levering] said.

That’s not as objectionable, except for slandering a republic as a democracy.

But words matter, and the GOP, the chief killer of the republic is at it again. In throwing blacks off southern plantations in 1866, they inadvertently placed all Americans on the government plantation, and Americans today are finally waking up to that fact. As with slavery, not only are we to provide for the common good (plantation economics) with government taking a portion of our earnings.

Our bodies are no longer our own as governments can dictate we wear masks (that do NOTHING against a 120nm coruna-virus), but that we also submit to house arrest (loss of freedom to travel) and to forced vaccinations (what happened to “my body, my choice?).

Government is NOT our friend, neither is the GOP, and obviously neither are the extremely evil Democrats.

In just the past twenty years, under BI-PARTISAN laws, this happened to our Bill of Rights:

Becky then showcases how stupid the GOP in Michigan is:

.. then Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey [R-Clarklake] opened his big mouth. He opined that

the ruling ensured “a system of checks and balances” but also warned residents against dropping their guard in defending themselves against the virus.

“This ruling does not alter our collective responsibility to protect ourselves and others by wearing masks, social distancing, and washing our hands,” Shirkey said. “The virus still presents a threat to our health and we must be vigilant in our actions.”

How does that differ from Gretch the Witch? Compare Shirkey’s quote with this drivel from Her Wickedness:

I will never stop fighting to keep you and your families safe from this deadly virus.”

The people of Michigan are slaves under this DEMOCRACY –> SOCIALIST STATE –. MARXIST STATE .. prove me wrong!

Consider this threat from the latter [GOP POS]:

The Legislature stands ready to deliberate in a bipartisan way on pandemic response [sic for “totalitarianism”], Chatfield and Shirkey said.

That “bipartisan … response” boasts a less than stellar record:

Early on in the pandemic, the GOP-led Legislature submitted some suggestions to Whitmer that were eventually adopted within the executive orders

(Ahem: said “orders” closed and bankrupted businesses while imprisoning citizens at home.)

and, since then, lawmakers have passed some laws that supported her executive orders, such as those pertaining to school reopening protocol.

Rethugs [Republicans] doing what they do best: cooperating with and egging on Demonrats [Democrats].

Most concerning of all,

“Now is the time for bipartisan action to transition from government operating in fear of the virus to government managing life in the presence of the virus,” Shirkey said.

“Managing  life.” Do any two words more accurately describe political slavery?

The government of Michigan is here from this day forward to manage your life. Michigan politicians are now your massa ..

Peace out

Mandatory or Voluntary Social Distancing: Flattening the Curve – Swedish Style

Sweden has been criticized quite a bit for forgoing the typical mandatory government enforced lock-downs / house arrests that a LOT of nations have chosen, even in the “land of the free” (United States), for the “common good”. These efforts we are told will flatten the curve and allow hospitals to deal with the sick in a way to avoid as many deaths as possible.

But have you noticed how “flattening the curve” is now about “ending the curve”? While at first this was all about the capacity of each nation’s healthcare system, is now about eradicating this virus BEFORE we can return to whatever normal awaits? Talk about mission creep.

Today’s Russia Today article revisits Sweden’s battle with Covid-19 that excludes government overreach. Notice even RT ‘seems’ critical of Sweden’s efforts as the author of this article attempts to see this from the view of the 22 researches in Sweden that are pushing for the government to do more:

They are not inclined to change their recommendations, even when Sweden’s curves start to differ radically from those of neighboring countries.

As always, context matters. It seems that in the past weeks it has been necessary to place ALL stats in context. While Johns Hopkins data is displayed in red highlighting raw data that fails to place a nation’s population in proportion to the number of deaths “reported”, one has to do this exercise themselves, at least if one is a critical thinker. Others just assume that the media does it all and they can just take what media gives them as truth. Not me, not even with RT or other non-US mainstream media (MSM).

If we take the raw numbers we see:

  • Sweden has 11,445 confirmed cases of infection and a death toll of 1,033 so far
  • Denmark has recorded 6,706 confirmed cases and 299 deaths
  • Norway reports 6,623 infected and 139 deaths
  • Finland reports just 3,161 confirmed cases and only 64 deaths

So on the surface you might agree with these researchers.  Now let’s look at the total population of these countries do we can compare more apples-apples:

  • Sweden 10.23M people
  • Denmark 5.8M people
  • Norway 5.5M people
  • Finland 5.5M people

So you see that Sweden STILL has more Covid-19 deaths PROPORTIONALLY than the other Scandinavian countries ASSUMING that they all do verify Covid-19 deaths WITH testing AND that the underlying diseases were NOT a major factor. I know, this is a LOT to assume for any government, that they are presenting the data accurately. But I digress.

There is one more attribute that I believe impacts a nation’s Covid-19 numbers, the numbers of migrants. Here is Bill Sardi on what this does:

Hot spots for infection (Wuhan, Italy, NYC) have a lot of young adult migrants who harbor TB bacteria in their lungs and may experience an eruption of latent TB, which is what is occurring now. Why we have to sort this out for ourselves as the Centers for Disease Control is not providing this kind of analysis and is narrowly presenting a COVID-19 pandemic with total disregard for the seasonal flu, TB, etc. speaks for the biases and politics involved.

Let;s look to see if Sweden might have more RECENT immigrants than other Nordic countries:

This latest influx of immigrants came from the Middle East where latent TB in the adult population can have an effect on both the number of positive Covid-19 cases as well as deaths attributed to Covid-19.

But back to the whole reason for flattening the curve, the salvation of the healthcare available for those susceptible to this corona-virus. In this regard, is Sweden is STILL on the right track?

… the man behind the government’s [Sweden’s] strategy, state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell, [states]

“I don’t understand what they mean. The healthcare system has always been in control,” Tegnell said. “If you look at the curve, we have consistently had around 60 dead per day. We have had an unfortunate development in elderly care, and we have started to work hard on that.”

Tegnell pointed to New York, which has roughly the same population as Sweden but ten times the death toll, as an example of the apparent failure of lockdown.

In my own opinion, early in this evaluation of a reaction to a novel virus, that WE have experienced before, and like the flu, will experience again without most people’s “savior”, vaccines, Sweden has demonstrated a very healthy method in dealing with this overblown panic. In this I applaud them!

So there is one more attribute of the lock-down that could also be factored in here. In NYC, when one is locked down, one is under house arrest and remains INSIDE away from the sun which is the best and cheapest source of vitamin D around. This vitamin is essential in keeping the immune system healthy to fight viruses like this one!

I also wonder how the lock-down was implemented in Wuhan, China, if people were encouraged to stay inside and away from the sun?

Anyway, Covid-19 and the “proper” response in a world where ‘scarcity’ exists, is complicated! Choices have to be made as we do not have unlimited resources. This is a fact that most people fail to understand these days as they look to the government to keep them safe, even from the inevitable, DEATH! The fear used by government’s drives the herds toward obedience and irrational behavior:

2020 Oregon Trail

At this point it is too early to tell for sure if Sweden’s government did the right thing, but one thing is for certain, their economy and the people’s mental health are by in large intact, and that will mean that Sweden’s healthcare system will not be overrun by ‘Rona-PTSD in the months to come.

With Sweden’s economy healthy, the healthcare services can be allowed to remain healthy as well without resorting to the US approach, that of printing money and debasing it’s own currency. But I digress once more …

Peace out – stay safe.
